Drupal Vs Joomla – how to decide?
When it comes to open source CMS, there are tons of options out there and two of the most popular ones happen to be Drupal and Joomla.
Amit Makhija, our senior project manager and web content management expert put out this document that helps us in making an informed decision.
We are not recommending one over the other, but just trying to lay out some facts for both platforms so that people can make informed decisions on which implementation would be the best for a given situation.
Read on. Please do post in your comments.
Amit – thanks for putting this together.

That might be the most subjective article I’ve ever read, I can already determine the authors Bias in the first sentence.
There are thousands of free modules for SEO in Joomla, that I have used with great success, my site, Sustainify.com is built entirely with joomla.
I came here to look for some insight into possibly using Drupal in future projects as well, and I am now leaving with the impression that Drupal is supported by people like this, who lack objectivity.

Just a couple of corrections. Joomla requires PHP 4.2.x or above.
Drupal does have shopping cart functionality through either the ecommerce module, or my personal preference, Ubercart.
I’m not 100% sure what the “Trash” line represents, but you can certainly “unpublish” content from Drupal, which removes it from public view but makes it available for later editing and/or republishing.
There are some Drupal download statistics available for 2008.

No body like to use Drupal in this Earth at all.
Compare Drupal with Joomla is jsut like compare the chicken with Phoenix. Joomla is 100 thousands hot and better than drupal!
